Specialists at the Qatar Calendar House(QCH) has announced that the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan for 1441 AH will be born next Thursday, at 5:27 am Doha local time (2:27 am GMT), according to the exact calculations by astronomers.
Dr. Bashir Marzouq ( an expert astronomer at the Qatar Calendar House) said that it is impossible to see or monitor the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on Wednesday evening, with the naked eye or with astronomical devices in the skies of the State of Qatar and all the countries of the Arab and Islamic region, because the crescent of Ramadan for this year will not be born at sunset on the monitoring day of in the skies of the State of Qatar, as well as in the skies of all Arab and Islamic countries.
The legal decision of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year remains within the competence of the Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) in the State of Qatar.
He added that the moonset in Qatar on Wednesday will be at 5:30 pm, Doha local time, while the sun will set that day at 6:1pm, Doha local time.
