The Upper Criminal Court has fined an Egyptian woman resident QR10,000 and suspended her driving licence for killing a pedestrian. Further, the court ordered the woman, along with her insurance company, to pay QR150,000 blood money to the relatives of the deceased. The accident occurred late at night on Al Nassr Road in Al Sadd area. The woman, believed to be speeding, hit the pedestrian, who was trying to cross the road. The man suffered serious injuries and died two days later in hospital.
