Doha,February 26,2013:QC has learned that the Corniche development projects and the towers area within the new master plan, and according to Qatar’s Vision 2030, will include the expansion of the Corniche and adding pedestrian walkways, in addition to establishing a yacht marina, as well as tunnels connecting markets and other streets.
According to information obtained by Qatar Chronicle’s sources , new projects will be put soon within an organizational chart for the establishment of parking lots and the development of the Corniche and the marina, reaching the area of the current airport.
These places are currently undergoing re-design plans and new projects according to advanced specifications, in order to keep pace with the overall development of the country.
Competent and concerned authorities are focusing on the designs and unique projects of a global level, with high level abilities and capacities, taking into account that the current facilities in the Corniche area deserve more thriving projects and service facilities, as well as high quality infrastructure projects.
There are also plans to create tunnels linking Dafna Area “West Bay” with the new airport road, up to the new port road. Also, there are current plans for a global, sophisticated road network, linking all roads, and provided with smart roads systems and display screens, In addition to a Metro and rail network that will pass through two lines, linking the north Doha to its center, and the West Bay and Lusail City, Katara and the new airport and the markets area with south.
