Launched in December 2007, under the auspices of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, wife of HH the Emir, the Qatar Business Women Awards (QBWA) identified and paid tribute to Qatari women who have contributed to Qatari society and economy through significant professional or entrepreneurial achievements. The award focused on women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and managerial qualities in their fields.
