The Qatar Calendar House announced in a tweet on 24 January 2023 that the coldest days of the winter season for the year begins on Tuesday, 24 January 2023.
اليوم 24 يناير يبدأ موسم برد #الأزيرق، ومدته 8 أيام، وسمي بموسم الأزيرق لأن الوجوه والأطراف تبدو عليها الزرقة من البرد، وتكون أيامه عادة هي الأشد بردا خلال العام، وتقع في آخر أربعة أيام من طالع النعايم وأول أربعة أيام من طالع البلدة.

The period of days is called 'Azraq', which translates to 'blue' in English. The name makes a reference to the blueness of faces and limbs that the cold weather will cause.
The Azraq period is expected to continue for eight days.
