The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' announces a closure of the bridge on Al Kheesa interchange in one direction from the roundabout known as Al Kheesa Roundabout towards Al Shamal Road (Al Kheesa Interchange). In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, the closure will be implemented starting midnight (12 AM) of Friday, February 11, 2022, for a period of 6 months. The closure aims to complete infrastructure works as part of the Roads and Infrastructure Project in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa (Package 3).

During the closure period, road users heading towards the roundabout known as Al Kheesa roundabout and wishing to use the bridge can use Al Kharaitiyat Street to reach the roundabout known as Kentucky Roundabout. Then, turn left onto Suhail Bin Nasser Al Attiya Street to reach the intersection known as the Grand Hypermarket Junction.

To continue towards Doha, road users must use the service road of Al Shamal Road. As for those heading towards Al Ruwais or other northern areas, they will have to turn left at the Grand Hypermarket junction and continue on Jassim Bin Mohammed Street, then use Al Kheesa Intersection to reach their destinations, as shown in the attached map.

The Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' will install road signs to guide the road users during this closure and request them to abide by the speed limit to ensure their safety.
