Civil Defence holds mock drill at Aspetar

The General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) conducted a mock drill at Aspetar Hospital building in Aspire Zone in coordination with security staff at the hospital, yesterday. Fire-fighting and rescue team from Al Aziziya moved to the site accompanied with fire engines and a mobile elevator of 32 m. The security personnel at the building evacuated the building and guided them to the assembly point. The fire-fighting and rescue team contained the mock fire and rescued those who were found injured as part of the drill. Rescue Police (Al Fazaa) patrols and Traffic patrols also participated in the exercise and controlled the traffic in front of the hospital while ambulance was also made ready to deal with the situation. The mock drive was supervised by First Lieutenant Khamees Salem Al Suwaidi, evacuation officer at the GDCD.
