Doha City Center’s west food court which was closed down after a fire broke out in March last year, has reopened with a new look. Four of over a dozen food chains in the court, KFC, Hardees, Attila and Shater Abbas have been serving customers since Friday. Other stalls yet to open include Burger King, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Arby’s. An employee of one restaurant said that they served many customers during the first three days after opening because of Eid holidays. The long closure was due to general facility upgrades. Many said it was worth the wait as the refurbished court only boasts of cozy attractive ambience but also provides new and varied seating for people who dine individually or in groups. The west food court had been popular with food lovers and served more customers than the east food court. East food court witnessed good business after the closure of west food court especially during weekends. A couple of new stalls, including Broaster and Captain Billy’s Fish and Chips, have joined the line-up of restaurants to provide diners with more options. Source:
