Children compete in art contest on theme of ‘peace’

MORE than 130 children aged up to 10 years and studying in schools of Doha participated in the drawing and painting contest organised by the Noble Indian Educational Society. The competition was based on the theme of “Peace”. Competition winners were presented with prizes that included certificates, trophies, gifts and cash awards in a ceremony held recently at the Noble Indian Kindergarten campus in Al Hilal. During the competition, children used colours to express their concerns over the global dilemma surrounding war and peace. The award ceremony was presided over by Noble Indian Education Society general convener A R Kunnummel. Also present on the occasion were Sabu K C, TAJ Shoukath Ali, V Musthafa and C C Moosa while Shereen Unni Olakkara from Transind Company and MP Traders’ Shahim Mohamed gave away the prizes. Cash awards of QR1,000 each to winners of first prizes in senior and junior categories.
