Weather maps indicate that clouds will gradually increase in the country from Thursday noon (Dec 14, 2017) till Monday morning (December 18, 2017).
Partly cloudy to cloudy weather are expected at times, especially on Saturday and Sunday with a chance of light scattered rain, which may become thundery at times especially offshore, Qatar Meteorology Department said in a weather report. The rains are expected to accompany with sudden strong winds exceeding 25 knots causing wave height to rise to 7ft during thunderstorms.
Winds inshore during this period are mostly Southeasterly-Northeasterly, ranging from 5-15 knots reaching 18 knots at times.
Cold weather will continue at night with temperatures around their normal average – maximum temperature is expected to range between 19°C - 24°C and minimum between 10°C - 18°C.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be cautious and to avoid offshore activities during this period. (Source)
