(CGC), an ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified technology conglomerate in Qatar, has unveiled its new corporate identity and logo. CGC effected the transformation in synergy with Qatar’s incredible growth and inspiring future. CGC’s new identity aims at better reflecting its core values and progressive vision to continue to be the leading technology, engineering and mobility solutions and services provider in Qatar. CGC revealed its new corporate identity and logo at an impressive ceremony at Ramada Plaza in Doha on Sunday. Dignitaries from various sectors of Qatari economy, media persons, business partners and CGC officials attended the launch event that began with an artistic sand art presentation depicting CGC’s 25 years of glorious journey. A colourful flag dance performance, and Arabian and continental cuisines spiced up the night for the guests.   Addressing the august gathering, Anil Mahajan, COO, CGC, thanked the authorities, people and industry in Qatar for their continued belief, support, confidence and cooperation. “With its charismatic rise to become the new global capital of business, education, sports, arts and culture, Qatar now plays as a role model for transformation on both economic and social fronts. The Gulf nation’s remarkable achievements and initiatives have propelled us – the local industry - to transcend barriers and go full swing in pursuit of greater successes. Our new corporate identity is inspired by Qatar, by its vision, dedication and determination to lead from the front and scale newer heights. It conveys and re-affirms CGC’s commitment to contribute further to Qatar Vision 2030 which aims to have a sustainable knowledge-based, environment-conscious economy built on the foundations of social, economic and human empowerment.” Mahajan further stated, “The new CGC branding comes at a time when there is a heightened focus on Qatar and its future. Proud to be a Qatari company with a difference, our achievements in the technological arenas illustrate the desire and commitment of the company’s visionary approach and methodology to lead by example and ensure availability of cutting edge technologies, quality products, customized solutions and cost effective services in partnership with global technology leaders, thus keeping the business community inspired and empowered to have a prosperous tomorrow. Always at the forefront to bring latest products, customized solutions and quality services, our efforts are towards instilling a future focused spirit that ensures optimized productivity, business success and overall growth and development for our all stakeholders. As the role of technology in our society, businesses, and personal lives continues to grow, we at CGC do recognize that our role and responsibilities also continue to grow as we work collectively to meet the expectations of our valued clients.” The company’s new logo symbolises our resolve to work further for a better tomorrow for all. The logo features various colour combinations displaying the vibrancy and multi-disciplinary business domains of technology, engineering and mobility the company is committed to inspire and take to greater level. These robust tones represent CGC as strong, stable and vibrant personality, added Mahajan.” Speaking on the occasion, Tawfeeq Salem, CFO, CGC, said, “Our new tagline ‘Inspiring the Future’, goes beyond just being a mere catchphrase, capturing the spirit that drives us as a company. One that enables us to take a high ground for the corporate brand of being a global company that is progressive and is future-focused. It affirms that as CGC we are in the business of inspiring a future for all our stakeholders and fuels an internal culture for employees, who will be a driving force for future growth. In line with extraordinary changes taking place in Qatar, our new identity fully demonstrates our readiness to transform ourselves to effectively serve the industry.” Satvik, a Dubai-based global organization with expertise in business analytics and brand management consultancy, helped CGC in development and design of its new corporate identity and logo. Sudhir Nair, Director, Satvik, said, “Our challenge with rebranding CGC was not just to give them a refreshed identity and new logo, but to consolidate the core values and the drive that got CGC to this level of success. We were finally working towards articulating in an unequivocal manner a core purpose that not just defines who CGC is as a corporate brand, but the role they play in their customers’ lives, employees’ lives and with the society at large.” Adding to this, Sreeram, Chief Strategist and Brand Consultant, Satvik, said, “The core idea was to capture the renewed energy, dynamism, and optimism that an inspired and successful future promises, into a visual idea. This was effectively done by the pixels coming together to form the core of the identity. These multi colored pixels symbolize the various verticals that CGC drives, the whole team at CGC coming together and working towards an inspired future. The spectrum of colours, chosen to capture the core values of the corporate brand CGC, represents the following: - A vibrant blue captures the trustworthy, dependable and committed value that drives CGC - Green connotes the harmony and respect for environment - Maroon colour is CGC’s tribute to the legacy and pride of being a Qatari company - Red colour reflects the energy and dynamism that keeps everyone at CGC charged - Orange colour symbolizes the warmth and social connection <><><> About CGC: Consolidated Gulf Co.
