Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC), a leading ISO and OHSAS certified technology and engineering company, provided automatic vehicle location system (AVLS) for the third annual Doha Tribeca Film Festival (DTFF). This tracking system enabled Doha Film Institute, DFI, in keeping track of their fleet of vehicles used during the prestigious event. AVLS is a real-time vehicle tracking system that combines GPS technology, cellular communications, street-level mapping, and an intuitive user interface to provide a continuous position and velocity of a moving vehicle for complete control. Besides offering technical and service assistance, CGC also provided round the clock site support in tracking, monitoring and generating reports using AVLS system with complete back up facility. A 24 hours control room at the festival area in the Katara cultural village ensured prompt tracking services by CGC technical team. CGC’s provided AVLS gave DFI access to reports on vehicle location, movement, over-speeding, misuse, geo fencing and other violations. This technology helped DFI to minimize any hazards to the guests and officials and also ensured smooth conducting of the talk-of-town event. Any misuse of the vehicle was eliminated and safety of officials and delegates were fully insured. Through the AVLS, DFI could effectively enforce total compliance to the pre-defined routes and destination and ensured timely arrival and departure of the delegates. Anil Mahajan, COO, CGC, said, “As the one of the first technology companies in Qatar, we at CGC are fully committed to provide the highest level of tracking competency, services and customer satisfaction. Support to DFI once again reinforced our commitment as a trusted local technology and engineering partner and facilitator in helping customers accelerate their productivity without affecting timeline.” The AVLS technology consists of a GPS tracking unit, a two way communication link between the tracker & the user & front-end user-friendly mapping software for tracking, monitoring and controlling the vehicle. It also has many excellent features, including Satellite vehicle location, tracking and mapping in real time, instant data transfer on vehicle position and status, geo-fencing - vehicle monitoring within or outside defined regions or routes, automatic alerts on over-speeding, towing, geo-fence and route violations, optional temperature and fuel monitoring, navigation by external Laptop or Desktop, customized Graphic User, driver management tool – complete details of driver name, license details, visa expiry, vehicle number - among others to support users in complete vehicle management and tracking.
