CGC hosts technology workshop for students

Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) held a technology workshop for students at Ideal Indian School in Doha recently. Over 100 students from the school attended the ‘TechTalk’, which aimed at making them aware of the latest communications technologies and its usability for better living. In association with different educational institutions, we look forward to conduct such tech talks so as to share and promote the value of technological knowhow, especially to the future generation.” CGC officials presenting memento to Ideal School principal Syed Shoukath Ali, Principal, Ideal Indian School, congratulated CGC for organizing such an interactive and informative event. “The workshop and modules presented to the students indeed would help them to know the modern world technology. CGC’s efforts are appreciable for the development of the community,” he stated. Conducted by Mitesh Sinha, Training Manager, and his team, the technology workshop featured many tech points of interest, like the working of GPS and CDMA technologies, maps, apps, among others. Using Nokia Lumia W8 smart phones, team CGC gave live demonstrations of various mobility features, apps and games, thus offering students first-hand experience of new communications technologies. Very enthusiastic response by the students took the momentum of the workshop to the next level with quiz participation, wherein three winners were rewarded.
