Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) hosted a Leadership Skills Development (LEAD) workshop for its senior officials at Radisson hotel, Doha, recently. The two days long workshop was attended by about 30 CGC officials belonging to technology, engineering and mobility business streams. To excel as a team leader, the attendees were told to comprehend some key ingredients including identifying leadership strengths and areas of improvements, communicating fundamental values and beliefs, expressing your image of the future, inspiring others to share a common vision, searching for opportunities to take the risk needed for growth, learning the characteristics of the four behavioral styles so you can understand the needs of your employees and know how to work with and bring out the best in each one, building collaboration, teamwork and trust, strengthening the ability of others to excel, recognizing the accomplishments of others and applying the best practices of exemplary leadership to a current organizational challenge.
