The health affairs department of the municipal ministry has launched an intensive campaign against eateries, the central market and beauty parlours ahead of the peak summer months. Raids will be conducted early in the morning as well as late in the night on the above outlets and eatables found unfit for consumption will be destroyed. The raids will cover retail and wholesale outlets. Eatables, including vegetables, fruits and seafood, auctioned at the central market will also be inspected to check if they have been exposed to the sun.
