Ooredoo and Vodafone have slashed international call rates to the Philippines, in the wake of the Typhoon Haiyan that hit the central parts of the country. For Vodafone prepaid and postpaid customers, all calls to the Philippines will cost 49 dirhams per minute until midnight on November 16. Ooredoo has cut the rates to 50 dirhams per minute when customers use the international Saver Key on Hala. The reduced rates will be available from today until November 16. To activate the Hala International Saver Key, which costs QR1 a week, customers need to SMS ‘ISK’ to 121. Vodafone has reduced the SMS rates to the Philippines to 10 dirhamsper message, to be available until November 16.
