California Tortilla, Qatar’s favorite restaurant for re-imagined Mexican flavors and tastes, celebrated the opening of its fourth location at the Pearl-Qatar with a grand opening fiesta held on Sunday, April 10, 2016, with a number of high profile guests in attendance, including the United States Ambassador, H.E. Dana Shell Smith, who inaugurated the event, along with VIP guests and local media representatives.

California Tortilla is a fast-casual concept with an extensive tex-mex menu that includes made-to-order burritos, tasty tacos, sizzling fajitas, quesadillas, fresh salads and other California-style Mexican food, all in a fun atmosphere. Originating in the US in 1995, California Tortilla opened its first restaurant in Doha, Qatar in 2013 on C-Ring Road near the Radisson Blu Junction. This was followed by two more branches at Al Meera, Al Jeryan near College of the North Atlantic (CNA-Q), as well as 01-Mall in Mamoura.

The restaurant is well known for its infamous Wall of Flame which features over 75 hot sauces that guests can carry to their table as they enjoy their California Tortilla meal; it has also been quite popular for diners to challenge friends and family in a spice-off with the hottest spice winning the greatest challenge. California Tortilla is also loved for its burritowhich is served in a completely edible bowl, and for those with a bit of a sweet teeth, the restaurant also services delicious chocolate chip cookies and brownies that are freshly prepared every-day, and are a much-loved grab-on-the-go option with a meal.

California Tortilla was recently nominated in the Best Family category at the 2016 Time Out Doha Food Awards, and was also nominated in the same category in 2015.

The latest California Tortilla restaurant is located at Porto Arabia La Croisette 27. California Tortilla is open every Monday to Wednesday between 11 AM and 12 AM; Thursday from 11 AM until 1 AM; Friday from 1 PM to 1 AM; and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 12 AM; across all four of its restaurants.
