LEADING Italian fashion brand Bvlgari opened its first ownership store in the Middle East at the Villaggio shopping mall yesterday. The new twin store spans some 330sq m with finishes including Trani marble walls, reminiscent of Roman architecture, and special handmade steel finishes along the perimeter of the walls. The stores have separate entrances but share a common façade 24m long featuring large exterior windows. Chief executive officer Francesco Trapani said at a press conference yesterday that Bvlgari would “offer Doha customers a wide range of assorted products believed to suit their needs”. “This opening is the outcome of one and a half years of planning and studying the market, which assured us that we have got the right handle on the sort of products that will suit our clientele.” He said the Bvlgari group was excited about the opening of its first ownership store in the Middle East, saying it further underlined the company’s confidence in the market potential as well as its determination to increase its presence and visibility in such a strategic area for the luxury business. “This commitment is also testified by the choice of the twin store concept to serve as an opportunity to share with our clients in Doha the brand’s heritage of style and quality while displaying the complete assortment of our creations in an innovative and more exhaustive way,” he said. On display in one of the twin stores are one-of-a-kind precious jewels, contemporary jewellery collections and watches for men and women. There is also a VIP room for private client appointments.
