Burger King Qatar achieved the highest annual comparative sales growth, making it the best performing Burger King franchisee in the Middle East in 2012.
These results are exceptional considering that the brand operates in 10 country markets in the region, with over 300 restaurants, of which Qatar currently operates 18 and is still developing with plans to open more restaurant locations in 2013.
For its performance, brand franchise partners in Qatar, Premier Food Services which is a part of Al Jassim Group, was recognized by Burger King at a special awards ceremony held in Lebanon recently that welcomed franchise partners from all over the region and many high-ranking corporate officials from Burger King.
Mr. Camille Aoun, General Manager, Premier Food Services, accepted the award on behalf of the Group. He said: "Qatar is still growing and with this growth it is imperative that we continue the development of the Burger King franchise in the country. The performance of Burger King Qatar in 2012 has been especially indicative of the positive sentiment that is flowing through the sector, which allows us to plan strategically including committing to the expansion of the network and reinforcing access to Burger King restaurants in various new locations across Qatar."
Premier Food Services and Burger King have built a strong market profile by focusing on building brand leadership through their Family Quick Service restaurant concept supported by the "Have it your way" and "Taste is King" brand promise, flame grilled burgers, high quality products and friendly service. This has been coupled with the proliferation of ongoing family benefits such as hosting children's birthday parties at the restaurants and the continuing implementation of the brand's loyalty and customer feedback program.
Burger King through Premier Food Services operates 18 outlets in Qatar as at the end of February 2013, with more outlets planned for opening in key locations in the country before the end of the year.
