Smartphones have transformed our lives and have become an integral part of our lives. But, what if your phone is running out of battery and you are dashing from meeting to meeting with no outlet nearby!

How amazing would it be if you could borrow some battery from a friend or colleague? Sometimes we just need 5 or 10% battery to make an urgent call or simply send some important messages.

We all know that cellphone subscribers in Qatar have the options of transferring the balance to their family and friends but a new technology will now allow transfer of the most vital element of a mobile phone—the battery power!

"To enable this feature of transferring battery power, we are using specially designed wireless energy transfer technology (ETT). We hope cell phone users in Qatar will benefit from this new service,” said Chief Innovation Officer MobaFone Qatar, Farhan Al ISmailey.

To avoid the sender from being in a position of low battery him or herself, a subscriber must have at least 25% battery and can only transfer a maximum of 20% to a friend.

How to transfer battery power?

The method is pretty straightforward, you just have to dial the code mentioned below with the number of the person whom you want to transfer the battery power to!

Dial *974* Recipient's mobile number *Amount #
