The Meteorology Department yesterday warned of unstable weather and said heavy rains could lash parts of the country from early tomorrow afternoon and would continue until Wednesday. There could be lightning and thunder with strong north-westerly winds blowing across with day temperatures ranging between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is likely to fluctuate between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius. The weather bureau, however, said the minimum temperature could even plummet further tomorrow and on Wednesday resulting in a nip in the air, particularly in the northern areas of the country.
