Bollywood comedian to perform on May 7

Bollywood comedian Jimmy Moses, popularly known as Junior Johny Lever, will perform at the ninth edition of May Queen Ball at Diplomatic Club, on May 7. The organisers, Goan Welfare Association, said about 1,000 persons are expected to be attended the annual event. Moses has been doing comedy for close to two decades and has performed in more than 26 countries, said Goan Welfare Association president Simon D’Silva. He had acted alongside film celebrities, playback singers, and featured in many corporate shows over the years. For Moses, veteran Johny Lever is a very good friend and a role model. According to organisers, the May Queen Ball has been successful in getting good media coverage and is one of the eagerly awaited events among the Indian community. This year May Queen Ball will have an added attraction in the form of Slumdog Millionaire choreographer Longinus Fernandes depicting dance sequences of “Jai Ho …” and “Pappu can’t dance …” The highlight of the evening will be Crowning of May Queen 2009. So far entries have come from Kuwait, Dubai, Bahrain, Muscat, India and Qatar and more are expected from other nationalities. The event’s title sponsor is Splash.
