Doha - Barwa is set to establish five new companies and said the process leading to necessary approvals from relevant authorities was under way. They are to include 'Barwa Projects Management' Company, a private Qatari shareholding company with a capital of QR500m specializing in the management of all types of commercial, real estate, recreational and industrial projects for the company, the state or other parties. The 'Barwa Media' Company with a capital of QR2m will be providing Media and IT services and other related services, while 'Barwa Knowledge' Company, also with a capital of QR2m will be providing administrative and technical training services at different administrative, marketing and educational levels. 'Barwa Technology' Company with a capital of QR2m is intended for services and products provision in the field of information technology and communication systems and the related services. Finally, 'Barwa Lusail Ltd', a company with limited liability in Qatar and in partnership with Barwa International Company with a capital of QR50m will be set for the purpose of holding and managing real estate investments in Lusail. Thirty percent of the capital shares will be owned by the company and 70 percent by Barwa International. © The Peninsula 2008
