Wealthbriefing Awards - Barclays

Barclays was named Best Private Bank in Qatar for the second consecutive year at the WealthBriefing GCC Region Awards 2015, confirming the bank’s leading position and its continuous commitment to delivering excellent services in the private banking sector.

Several factors distinguished the bank and enabled them to be recognised for their efforts including its ‘Integrated Banking Model’, which allows Wealth and Investment Management clients to access Barclays’ regional and global capabilities in the Investment and Corporate Banking divisions. As part of its ‘Integrated Banking Model’, Barclays also offers its clients a full range of investments, credit and wealth advisory products, which are customised to meet their individual requirements.

Cedric Lizin, Head of Middle East and North Africa and Head of Business, Japan, Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, said: “We are honoured to be receiving such a prestigious award for our Wealth and Investment Management division in Qatar, which further highlights the importance of this market to Barclays in the Middle East. This recognition is testament to our commitment to maintaining service excellence in the region while providing our high and ultra-high new worth clients bespoke solutions through our regional know-how and on-ground presence, whilst tapping into our global expertise.”

ClearView Financial Media’s CEO, and Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, said: “These awards recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process. In a region where durability and patience in cultivating client relationships are vital qualities, Barclays has both, with a history of serving clients in the MENA region for over 150 years. Its innovations in behavioural finance and client reporting, as well as the breadth of offerings required by sophisticated clients, are stand-out qualities.”

Organized by ClearView Publishing, the WealthBriefing GCC Region Awards focus on three main category groupings, which allow an expert panel of judges to recognise companies, teams and individuals for insights that are independent, genuine, and display integrity.
