Barbe & Pennington share honours at 3rd QGL Volvo Masters Golf Tournament

Bernard Barbe & Don Pennington outplayed 90 other golfers to emerge victorious at the QGL Volvo Masters golf tournament at the Doha Golf Club over the weekend. Barbe and Pennington were declared winners in flight A & B respectively in the event which was sponsored by DOMASCO and organized by Qatar Golf Lovers. Jeff Compton was the runner up in flight A and Wayne Ruth was runner up in flight B. Chris Duffy won the best gross for men while Ruth Benson won the best gross for ladies. Neeraj Singhal won the ‘longest drive’ Steve Cater won the ‘longest putt’ Valerie Dalton won the ‘closest to rope’ and Jade Potgieter won the ‘closest to pin’ awards. A Volvo XC60 was up for grabs for a Hole-in-one but no one could claim it. Graeme Newport, Managing Director of DOMASCO hosted a prize distribution function for all players and gave away gifts to the winners. Also present at the function was Glen Mercer, Volvo Service Manager, Beth Tamano DOMASCO Marketing Manager and Hamzah Shalchi, for the Volvo Sales Team. Both Newport and Mercer participated in the tournament as well.
