In an announcement made today, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB)announced that this coming Sunday, March 4, 2018 would be an official holiday for all banks and financial institutions in Qatar.
In addition to banks, this also includes money exchanges, investment and finance companies, and insurance companies and brokers will also be closed. The holiday falls in line with cabinet decision No. 33 of 2009 that states that the first Sunday of March shall be a yearly official bank holiday under the auspices of QCB.
All institutions will return to normal hours of operation on Monday, March 5, 2018.
