Baby dugongs released after necessary care given

The Ministry of Environment and Climate announced in a series of tweets on 7 August 2022, that the baby dugongs that were found in Al Khor recently have been released to their natural habitat after receiving necessary care.

The release comes in after almost a month of care and rehabilitation since their rescue.

The baby dugongs had been initially moved to the Fuwairit (Sea Turtle Project) area when rescued and were treated to ensure they are able to rely on their selves before being released.
