Baba Chapatea announces Hamad Al Amari as Brand Ambassador

Baba Chapatea, Qatar’s home grown café announces Hamad Al Amari, popular Qatari standup comedian and social media influencer as its brand ambassador. According to Baba Chapatea, Hamad represents the underlying essence of the Baba Chapatea’s persona which is - young, innovative and passionate.

Best known for its Karak and signature stuffed Parathas, Baba Chapatea opened its first outlet at Al Wakra in 2013. Within a short span of time, the café has developed a loyal fan following attracting people from all over the country to try its unique offerings.

The success of the brand can be judged by the swift expansion of its outlets witnessed across Qatar. Presently Baba Chapatea is open at five locations, which includes outlets at Matar Qadeem, Abu Hamour, Muaither and two at Al Wakra. Three more outlets are ready to open at Al Dayeen, Al Wajba and Aziziya.

Yoonus Salim Vapattu, the Managing Director and co-founder of Baba Chapatea said, “Karak and Paratha are ingrained in Qatari culture ever since childhood. Right from school days to later in the adult life, a cup of Karak and the fluffy parathas are part of the daily routine of any Qatari. We created Baba Chapatea out of our love and passion for Karak. The success of our first outlet in Wakra and repeated requests from our loyal fans prompted us to expand the café into other parts of the country.”

He also added, "For us, the young and talented, Mr. Hamad Al Amari was an ideal choice as he complements our brand with his work. He portrays a blend of fun, innovation and charisma exactly like Baba Chapatea."

Hamad Al Amari, popularly known as "The Qatari Guy", is a renowned comedian and local producer of online content. Balancing his life between being a Production Coordinator at the Doha Film Institute and an advertising consultant, his ability to unite an international audience with his quick wit and cultural understanding has made him a local force in the standup comedy circles in Qatar. He is also a fantastic MC, TV presenter, writer; advocate for youth projects and supporter of local charities all adding value to him as a social influencer.

Speaking to the brand ambassador about his choice, Hamad Al Amari quoted, "Karak has become an integral part of the local and expat communities in Qatar.
