The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced the reopening of additional 200 mosques for Friday prayers from August 7, 2020.

The additional mosques will reopen following the same preventive and precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 which is in place in all the reopened mosques in the country.

There will now be a total of 400 mosques available for Friday prayers as part of the gradual lifting of coronavirus restrictions in Qatar.

It is important to note that continued adherence to the preventive measures will allow the department to reopen the remaining mosques across the country.
