Almost everyone I know loves sushi! It has been one of my missions to try out every sushi restaurant in Doha and personally determine which one is the best. I can’t say that I’ve tried all of them. I have definitely tried quite a few, and the ones that I have tried are pretty delicious. There are others that I have been told about and been recommended to try by some trustworthy sources (which I will get around to doing soon). Of course people have different tastes - some are maki or nigiri roll lovers, others are sashimi lovers, some are even both! I’m a maki lover - not so much a fan of the raw goods. Hopefully you find your sushi spot, if you haven’t found it yet. Here is our list of sushi joints to try out!

This restaurant is my personal favorite. It’s also super popular, to the point where you have to wait an hour sometimes to get a table. They have delicious Japanese and Korean cuisines! They serve maki rolls, nigiri, temaki, and sashimi and have all-you-can-eat sushi nights! My two favorite rolls at this restaurant are their Zigzag and Summer rolls. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already! Their prices are reasonable to slightly expensive.

Sushi at the W Hotel is superb! Both the Market by Jean-Georges and the Spice Market serve delicious sushi and sashimi! My favorite rolls at the W are their crispy soft-shell crab, shrimp tempura, and crispy shredded crab. Their prices are expensive, but worth it.

I’ve only tried their sushi once before, and I accidentally ordered a roll that had a raw filling (not my cup of tea), so it wasn’t my best experience. However that’s only because I didn’t order the right sushi roll. I’ve heard great things about it and many people love their sushi! Hopefully your experience will be better than mine, I have yet to go back and give them another shot. Their prices are quite reasonable.

Neo (location)

Neo is another one of my favorite sushi restaurants. They have a wide selection of sushi ranging from maki, nigiri, temaki, to sashimi. They also have sushi platters that are available! My favorites at Neo are their eskimo, California, shrimp tempura, and tiger rolls! Their prices are reasonable to slightly expensive.

Dining at Eatopia is a unique experience as there are different cuisines you can choose from! I personally like their sushi. They offer a variety of different rolls on their menu. My favorites are spicy crunchy prawn, soft-shell crab, and crunchy California! Their prices are reasonable to slightly expensive.

Honorable mentions:
Nozomi Marsa Malaz Kempinski (location) - never tried but heard good things! (expensive)
Toro Toro Marsa Malaz Kempinski (location) - also never tried, but heard their sushi is delicious! (expensive)
Junko (location) - tried, but I wasn’t a huge fan - not saying it isn’t yummy more of a personal opinion. (expensive)
Casper and Gambini’s at Landmark Mall (location) - I have yet to try their sushi but I’ve heard that they’re yummy! Their sushi isn’t what they’re known for, as they have a variety of different options to choose from, but it’s worth a try! Their prices are reasonable to slightly expensive.
Nobu (location) - Good reviews! (very expensive)
