As part of its corporate responsibility programme, a delegation from Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has reached out to the young and the elderly in Qatar this Ramadan, through visits to social institutions, including Ehsan, the Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care and Rumailah Hospital.

While in Rumailah Hospital, the AZF delegation paid a visit to sick children and distributed 40 gift bags, sponsored by Doha Bank, to put a smile on their young faces. Meanwhile, during last week’s trip to Ehsan, the delegation joined the elderly for Iftar. The elderly expressed their delight with AZF’s visit and thanked them for attending.

Commenting on the Ehsan visit, Mr. Nasser Abdullah Al-Hajri, Director of PR and Communication at AZF, said: “These visits reflect AZF’s commitment to the various community members that make up Qatar. Visiting the elderly for Iftar stems from our desire to integrate the elderly into society, particularly during Ramadan, because they are its backbone. Iftar is a special time for families in Ramadan, and we have come together to share this special time with the elderly, as one family. We hope they’ve enjoyed our company as much as we have enjoyed theirs.”

These visits are organised as part of AZF’s Ramadan initiative, which launched last year, and demonstrates AZF’s commitment to engage the local community by reaching out to social institutions.

AZF organises social initiatives to encourage its employees to adopt the organisation’s values, which lie at the core of its success. These are: Accountability, Synergy & teamwork, Professionalism, Integration, Respect and Excellence.
