In a tweet, Ashghal Qatar has announced the 8 hour closure of Al Markhiya Street between Dahl Al Hamam Intersection and Umm Lekhba Interchange towards Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor & Al Shamal Rd. This closure is scheduled for the installation of a pedestrian bridge metal structure in the area.

The closure will occur on Friday June 10, 2022, from 2 am to 10 am. During the closure period, road users heading from Al Markhiya Street towards Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor through Umm Lekhba Underpass and Al Shamal Road can use Al Khafji Street and Duhail Interchange to reach their destinations.
