The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced the completion of beautification works on Al Ennabi Street Project, within the works of the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar, as part of the committee's plan to beautify several streets in Doha city.
Eng. Amna Al Badr, Secretary of the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places at Ashghal, clarified that Al Ennabi Street Project, located in the western parts of Doha in Muaither area, is surrounded with many residential and commercial facilities. The project included the construction of pedestrian and cycle paths with a length of 1.7 Kilometer along Al Ennabi Street with many trees and bushes adding the aesthetic appearance to the street. Also, pedestrian tracks and cycle paths are constructed connecting with Umm Al Doom Street and Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street. Several trees are planted to keep the paths shaded throughout and the natural environment is preserved. The project also included the construction of 1.2km of the treated water network.
The implementation of cycle path along Al Ennabi Street within the project has achieved completion of connected Cycle paths beginning from Umm Al Dome Street up to Dukhan highway, linking many important spots such as Al Shafi Street, Education City, Golf Club, and this comes within the plan of the committee to implement a connected cycle path network in Qatar.
It is worth noting that Ashghal is currently continuing the implementation of beautification works on many streets in Doha including the North Road project and Al Terhab project.
