The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will close the entrance and exit of Lusail Street from Labhariya Street, and divert traffic as shown in the attached map. The closure starts on Friday 10th of June 2016, and will last until end of 2017, in coordination with the Traffic Department.
With this local access entrance and exit to the Lusail Street closed, Ashghal advises local road users travelling to The Pearl and to Doha to use the traffic signalised junction that connects Legtaifiya Street to the Lusail Street. Road users in the local area can access the Lusail Street by using Wadi Rawdan Street and Legtaifiya Street, as shown on the attached map.
This closurewill allow for theimplementation of storm water drainage network and permanent road works on the Lusail Expressway. With a reduction of traffic volume on Al Istiqlal Street, Ashghal expects better flow of traffic between The Pearl and Doha.
Ashghal will install road signs advising road users of the diversion. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
