More than 20 international artists are showcasing their works and holding workshops at the ‘Art from Life’ exhibition at the Hyatt Plaza. Organised by Hyatt Plaza and the Qatari House for Arts, the exhibition is open until May 7. It was inaugurated by HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage HE Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari on April 23. The minister said that setting up art exhibitions in malls was the best way to attract a wider audience. “Art should be brought to where people go the most”, he said. Al-Kuwari noted that Arabian nights should be organised as part of such art exhibitions, featuring one country by night, especially since Doha was set to be the Arab cultural capital by 2010.
