Amir phones NZ PM to offer help on its fight against extremism

Qatar Tribune reported that the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani held a phone conversation with Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern on Tuesday.

In the phone call, the Amir offered his condolences and those of the Qatari people to the New Zealand PM and the people of New Zealand on the victims of the terrorist attack, which took place in two mosques in Christchurch.

The Amir wished the injured a speedy recovery. The Amir also expressed Qatar’s readiness to help New Zealand in its efforts to counter terrorism and extremism, praising the PM’s efforts in dealing with this incident.

The New Zealand PM, in turn, thanked the Amir for the solidarity with New Zealand.
