Amir Cup Handball Championship kicks off on Thursday

H.H. the Amir Cup Handball Championship begins on Thursday with two matches in the qualifying stage, Al Rayyan versus Al Shamal and Al Ahli versus Al Khor.

The winner of Al Rayyan versus Al Shamal will face Al Arabi, while the winner of Al Ahli versus Al Khor will face Al Sadd on Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Qatar will play against Al Gharafa and Al Wakra will play against Al Duhail.

The semi-finals will be played on Monday and the final will be played on Thursday, April 25.

It is noteworthy that the qualifying phase of the HH the Amir Cup Handball Championship is held between the teams who ranked seventh to tenth in the general league, namely Al Rayyan, Al Ahli, Al Khor and Al Shamal. Two teams are promoted to the quarter-finals alongside the top six teams in the league, which includes Al Wakrah, Al Duhail, Al Sadd, Al Gharafa, Al Arabi and Qatar.

Al Wakra won the Amir Cup last season after defeating Qatar 27 to 22 in the final.
