Ten new luxury car models will be launched at the third Privatdrive Supercar Show that opens here on Friday at The Pearl-Qatar. The luxury cars brands will be on show along the first phase of the recently opened boardwalk of the ring-shaped precinct of Porto Arabia and one of the world’s longest waterfront luxury retail districts. More than 30 makers of the world’s top luxury vehicles, including Rolls-Royce, Ducati, X6, Ferrari, Grand Turismo, BMW, Maybach, Mercedes, Bugatti, McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley, and Lamborghini, will be represented at the two-day Privatdrive Supercar Show. The show opens to the public on Friday from 11am to 5pm; then from 5:30pm to 6:30pm there is an “invitation only” VIP session, and the show opens again to the public from 7pm to 11pm. On Saturday, the opening hours are from 11am to 11pm. Exhibitors include Al Fardan Automobiles, Al Fardan Sports Motors, Nasser Bin Khaled, Dana Motors, Jaidah Motors, Saad Buzwair, Al Fardan Marine, Al Fardan Jewellery. There will also be a golf simulator, live music, several lavish VIP lounges, and many other surprises and glamorous attractions. Some manufacturers consider Qatar as the top market place in the world for their luxury vehicles and 10 new car models are scheduled to be launched for first time in Qatar during the show. “Qatar is the right place and The Pearl-Qatar is the most glamorous address for this most exclusive event,” said Alexis Lallement-Steiner, founder and owner of the Privatdrive club (www.privatdrive.com). “We chose The Pearl-Qatar because you get the Riviera feeling of South of France and Monaco — that’s what seduced me. “Porto Arabia is the future premier destination in the region for luxury living with a wonderful mix of European fashion and Arabic culture, refined living and lifestyle. When you walk on the boardwalk and take in the sights of the yachts and the beautiful marinas and the general ambience, this confirms that The Pearl-Qatar is definitely the place for this event. “The cars will be on show along the 2.5km boardwalk — one of the longest in the world, with a backdrop of Mediterranean, Spanish and North African architecture.” “We are extremely pleased to be able to contribute to the success of Privatdrive’s third Supercar Show by hosting it here,” said Eric Lebrun, executive vice-president, assets management, The Pearl-Qatar. “It is especially exciting for us as it coincides with the preparations to welcome our first residents by year-end, including the recent opening of the boardwalk with a three-month programme of entertainment.” Speaking for Commercialbank, presenting sponsors of the event, Raju Buddhiraju, EGM & Chief Retail Banking Officer said: “We are proud to participate in numerous events that present Qatar as a regional and international arena for staging world class events. The Supercar Show serves as a perfect opportunity in fulfilling our commitment. “In addition to raising Qatar’s profile internationally, we are also committed to providing world class services and facilitating high-profile events for our customers and the public at large in Qatar.” The heart of the Porto Arabia is its unique shopping and dining districts, interspersed with smaller retail neighborhoods, which form a graceful promenade around the island. Nearly one million square meters of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space cater for shopping and dining, relaxing and playing with friends and family. The Pen
