For the month of October, Alfardan Sports Motors, Official Importer of Ferrari and Maserati in Qatar, will be donating 1% of all Maserati and Ferrari sales profits, to Qatar Cancer Society, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Alfardan Sports Motors was established in 1999 and are constantly striving for excellence as Qatar’s leading auto dealership.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Middle Eastern women, accounting for over one-third of diagnosed cancers. Over the past 10 years, breast cancer incidences have increased progressively in the region, with the highest rates found in Qatar and Bahrain Nationals

“Being a part of our local community in Qatar is of upmost importance to us,” commented Alfardan Sports Motors General Manager, Charly Dagher. “We have seen an exceptional increase in sales recently and hope that the month of October will see a continuance of this increases to raise as much as possible for Qatar Cancer Society in aid of breast cancer”.

Qatar Cancer Society, founded in 1997 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, is one of Qatar’s leading humanitarian organizations, which aims to increase awareness about cancer across the region.

“We have chosen to donate proceeds to Qatar Cancer Society as we believe the work they do in Qatar, raising awareness about cancer, is vital for our community” commented Charly Dagher, “and any part we can play in assisting them is key for our corporate social responsibility.”

Qatar Cancer Society representative, Omar al-twaissi, expressed their gratitude saying, “We are so grateful that Alfardan Sports Motors is stepping up to help our community. At Qatar Cancer Society we are continuously trying to find ways to increases awareness about breast cancer, whether it be for prevention or treatment. Having the support of local businesses such as Alfardan Sports Motors is vital to enable us to do this. The money will go to the Early Detection Programs and to help improve the lives of those battling breast cancer.”

For the month of October Qatar Cancer Society is teaming up with the Ritz Carlton for Pink Month, a month full of events dedicated to breast cancer awareness and raising funds to help with research as well as helping those battling cancer.
