As part of its work on Dukhan Highway – Central and to complete roadworks extending from Al Rayyan Stadium Roundabout to Al Shahaniya Interchange, the Public Works Authority — Ashghal — eliminated the roundabout on Saturday, making this part of the road a freeway in both directions.
With the elimination of the roundabout, road users heading towards Al Shahaniya Interchange who wish to take a U-turn will need to use Al Duhailiyyat Roundabout instead of Al Rayyan Stadium Roundabout.
Service roads on the side of the main road are completely open to traffic in both directions as shown in the map.
