Al Khor Mall is holding its first-ever food festival titled, the ‘Festival of Flavours’ to celebrate and showcase the various options available within the mall for “great gastronomic experiences” for visitors from all around Qatar. The festival runs until October 15.
In conjunction with the Festival of Flavours, there will be a series of weekend activities and contests that are “inventive yet familiar, as the festival will stay true to its name by shining the spotlight on various flavours, food photography and culinary workshops”, according to a press statement from LuLu Hypermarket Qatar, which manages Al Khor Mall.
As part of the festival, the mall will host weekend activities targeting the entire family, including culinary workshops and food challenges with the support of its tenants - namely LuLu, Chili’s, Batteel, Pink Sushi, Saravanaa Bhavan, Zaffran, McDonald’s, Daiso, Ximi Vogue, Baskin Robbins, Al Tawfeeq Travels, Kenza, Madeline and Ginger Club, which will also offer various gifts and prizes to the participants and winners. All the weekend activities will be held on Thursday and Friday from 7 pm- 9 pm. There will be a dedicated activity area for children, too. Entry to the contest, workshops, and activities is free.
The mall is also offering a food photography contest for all food photography and Instagram lovers. To enter the contest, a customer has to take a photo of the food purchased from Al Khor Mall and upload it onto their Facebook or Instagram page with the hashtag #foodfiewithakm and tag Al Khor mall @alkhormall. One can participate in this contest until October 15. A total of five winners will stand a chance to win LuLu gift vouchers worth QR500 each.
Along with these, one-of-the-biggest attractions to the ‘Festival of Flavours’ is special and exclusive promotion being offered by the malls’ F&B tenants. Not only they offer a special deal but under a ‘Dine & Win’ campaign, they stand a chance to win QR2,500 each for four winners making it QR10,000 worth of gift vouchers from Lulu. To win this, customer has to spend a combined total of QR50 from any of the mall food outlets, by doing so they will get a raffle coupon from the customer service counter upon producing the bills. Raffle draw for this will be held on 20th October 2019.
