There is good news for Al Khor residents as Al Khor and Al Dhakhira Municipality has opened a new public park in Al Khor city.

The Hazm Al Jaltah project was opened yesterday in the presence of Mubarak Mohamed Al Kuwari, Director, Services Affairs Department, and a number of senior municipality officials.

The project is spread over an area of 14,000 square meters and includes green spaces, trees, and a small lake with many ducks in it.

It also has a play area for kids and walking track in addition to many park benches for people to relax under shade.

It took 8 months to complete the construction and is good addition to the urban landscape of Al Khor city.

This is second such public space opened in Al Khor in recent times. In February, Al Khor Park was opened after renovation. It receives hundreds of visitors everyday and on weekends it goes up to thousands.

It has turned into the one of the most sought after picnic spot for families on weekends. The park has a mini zoo, with animals and birds shifted from the Doha Zoo which is undergoing renovation.
