Ten Ministry of Interior (MoI) officers recently graduated from the Al Jazeera Media Centre for Training and Development, after having attended a four-day training course on public speaking and ways of dealing with the media.
Among the areas in which the officers were trained were: The media and its tools, the basics and rules of dealing with the media, radio and TV skills, interview and its various forms, and public speaking.
Dr Abdul Azeez Al Hurr, Director of Al Jazeera Media Centre for Training and Development, stressed on the importance of organising the course to improve the media skills of the participants. He said many staff from MoI and other government organisations had completed the course in the previous months.
On behalf of the graduates, Brigadier Mohamed Mubarak Al Khulaifi, Director of Drugs Prevention Department, thanked the centre for its sincere efforts in providing the training.
Prof. Arole Ouwien, Chief Executive of Camprenses Communication Company Ltd of the UK and Chairman of Wales Film Arts and TV Academy, gave the lectures during the course.
