Al-Futtaim IKEA, one of the region’s leading Swedish home furnishing brands, today announced the launch of the Textiles TAKE-BACK campaign in partnership with Qatar Charity, one of the largest humanitarian and development organizations in the region. With the aim of improving the livelihood of the underprivileged, the ‘Home Textile Donation’ campaign aims to encourage our customers and the community to live a more sustainable lifestyle by donating unwanted textiles to Qatar Charity. This is also in line with IKEA’s ongoing vision to sustain and preserve the environment by maximizing the usage of textiles.

To support IKEA’s commitment to becoming people and planet positive by 2030, Al-Futtaim IKEA will place a donation box inside the store for customers to donate pre-loved bedding, towels, and blankets. The unwanted items will be sent to Qatar Charity and reused by those less privileged in needy communities.
