Al Bidda Park to introduce barbecue rental fee from September 1

Al Bidda Park is one of the sought-after destinations in Doha as its state-of-the-art features are endless! It is also a favourite barbecue spot that is free to use for the public. However, the Al Bidda Park management has decided to levy a barbecue rental fee from September 1, according to a notice put up at the site, reported Gulf Times.

Charge

The fee for using the barbecue facility at the park will be QR 50 for four hours. Strictly no cash is allowed and only card payments will be accepted for barbecue booking purposes.

Booking slots

The booking timings are from 6 am to 10 am, from 11 am to 3 pm, from 4 pm to 8 pm, and from 9 pm until closing time.

Rules and etiquettes for barbeque spots

Did you know there are some rules and etiquettes that you should keep in mind while having a barbecue in open spaces? Check them out below:

  • Never leave a lit grill unattended, make it is at the original position and not moved to under trees, on the lawns, or near buildings.
  • You are not allowed to bring additional grills, only the fixed grill can be used.
  • Don’t allow kids or pets to play near the grill.
  • Never use accelerants on the grill.
  • Dispose of smoking materials properly and make sure they are completely extinguished.
  • Don't leave your mess behind, dispose of your garbage properly.
  • Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby for emergencies.
