Labor Ministry affirms continuing commitment to promoting and protecting workers' rights

On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs announced that establishments subject to the Labor Law must grant their employees a full-time paid vacation for a period of (three working days) during the Eid al-Fitr period.

If the working conditions call for the employee to be employed during the Eid vacation, the provisions relating to overtime and their allowances, which are mentioned in Article (74) of the Law, will apply in this regard.

This is without prejudice to the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Trade and Industry to organize work schedules or suspend some activities within the framework of the preventive measures and precautionary measures taken by the state to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in the interest of the safety of all citizens and residents.

The Ministry also expressed gratitude to both employers and workers who are complying with the instructions for the precautionary measures to be followed, maintaining social separation and safe distances between workers, wearing masks and protective gloves, and ensuring the cleanliness of people and places constantly, whether in the workplace or housing, and the application of specifications and other health requirements, and that, Under the shared responsibility of all during the current period.

The Ministry offered its sincere congratulations on the end of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr for the year 1441 AH, may God reward everyone with good.
