ADABISC ANNOUNCES UNITED NATIONS OF COMEDY

Monday March 18th 2013| DOHA ADabisc announced the United Nations of Comedy at an event held at the Qatar National convention center. The show was host by Qatar’s well-known media personality Khalifa al Haroon. The United Nations of Comedy is a headline comedy tour which brought four major, international comedy stars to wow audiences in Doha with their uproarious views on the funniest things in the East, the West and everywhere in between. Given Qatar’s multi-cultural demographics and growing demand for quality entertainment acts, the family friendly, highly entertaining, United Nations of Comedy tour is expected to be very well received. The world-renowned line up of stand-up comedians included Maz Jobrani, Aron Kader, Nemr Abou Nassar and Mike Batayeh. Adding local flavor to the greatly anticipated event were Mohamed Kamal, Hamad Al Ammari, Halal Bilal and Issa Al Fahoum who delighted the audiences in Qatar. Speaking to the media Hamzeh Zahr, Head of Entertainment Production at ADabisc said: “The United Nations of Comedy is family orientated, seriously funny comedy, with a unique experience based on the workings of the actual United Nations forum. A show of this nature wad exclusive to Qatar and we delivered our can promise, the show delivered a superior entertainment experience on every level. Bringing together A-list comedians from around the world is a first of its kind concept for Qatar and ADabisc was totally up to the challenge. We are constantly looking for new ground to break and given the nature of Qatar’s cosmopolitan community we saw a wonderful opportunity to create an unforgettable entertainment experience for everyone who enjoys a good laugh.” Mr Zahr went on to say that “ADabisc picked a venue that is ideal for replicating the UN experience. QNCC with its stage layout and seating configuration created a perfect match with the actual UN assembly auditorium, with the aim of unifying people under the umbrella of comedy with lots of humorous twists.” The main sponsors for the show include Nandos and Samsung.
