If you haven’t heard yet, there is a new Souk on the scene. A fabulous souk set on a sea front has opened in Wakrah. Souk Wakrah, which looks like a tradition old Qatari village, is approximately a 20-minute drive from Downtown Doha. The souk is very spacious and a great place to relax and unwind. The Souk offers a vast array of shops, restaurants, cafes, and even a fresh fish market.

Restaurants

There are many restaurants, which offer various cuisines and diverse dining, experiences. Not to be missed is a Brazilian restaurant called Copacabana. Every night after 8pm, except Sundays, there is a Capoeira performance that has a freestyle footballer. Oodles of fun and worth catching.

Scenery

Old dhows on the beach, pelicans lining the shore, and a beautiful blue open sea as far as the eyes can see.

Shops

Cafes and bakeries / Specialty Shops

There abundant places to satisfy your sweet tooth and enjoy a hot cup of coffee

Lots of interesting places to engage the senses. One in particular is Rashfa Tea, a shop that offers every kind of tea the imagination can conceive. A great place to buy teas and learn about their health benefits.

Definitely worth checking out, Souk Wakrah has different feel than Souk Waqif, thus offering a different exprience to it's visitors.
