Qatari and American musicians performed last night at a private concert at the American ambassador’s residence in Onaiza.

Mirage, an American octet from Colorado which comprises of wind and percussion instruments, played an eclectic variety of classical and American jazz pieces that flowed seamlessly with Haidos’ music.
“Music is one of the most basic expressions of a culture, and therefore, a powerful means of communication between peoples. I am proud to have hosted a concert that celebrates some of the finest Qatari and American artists,” said US Ambassador Joseph LeBaron.
During their stay in Doha, Mirage, the American octet will perform at a number of schools and other venues, as well as in Al Khor, “to encourage Qatari children to express themselves through music.”
