The Public Works Authority - Ashghal has announced in a tweet on April 21, 2022 that a 9-hour road closure is to take place on Friday, April 22, 2022.
#Ashghal: A 9-hour closure to traffic coming from Thani Bin Jasim Interchange on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor towards Umm Lekhba Interchange, Al Shamal Road & Al Markhiya St., Friday 22 April 2022 (3am-12pm), to install a new pedestrian bridge in coordination with @trafficqa pic.twitter.com/miQrwuszdl

The closure will be effective for the time duration of 3 am till 12 pm to aid the installation of a new pedestrian bridge.
Those heading towards Umm Lekhba Interchange, Al Markhiya Street or Al Shamal Road can use the Al Gharrafa Interchange located on 22 February Street to access their destinations.
